New delivery location name - Auckland Metroport

With the ongoing congestion at Ports of Auckland causing significant disruption to the New Zealand supply chain, Maersk is pleased to advise that we are introducing Auckland Metroport as a separate location name in our systems for you to take control of your supply chain.

This new and improved set-up allows you to select the destination location as

• Auckland (Direct vessel discharge at Ports of Auckland) or;
• Auckland Metroport (Rail move via Port of Tauranga for final delivery to Auckland Metroport).

This is not a change to our product offering. We have been offering the Auckland Metroport product for years. This change now provides improved transparency to differentiate between the two different delivery locations in Auckland.

With this change, please ensure you select Auckland Metroport as the delivery location when requesting a booking. Delivery via Ports Of Auckland will continue to be offered as an alternative on the Japan Star service, Sirius Star service and the Fiji Express service where we have a direct ocean coverage of Ports of Auckland.
