Disruption of transport activities on the Cameroon - Central African Republic corridor
Hinterland Transportation on corridor Douala-Bangui is encountering major disruptions due to the current security concern in the Central African Republic during the election period.
In the interests of preserving the lives of employees and securing equipment of respective actors of the supply chain, the Cameroon Land Transporters Group (GTTC) has suspended transport activities to Bangui until further notice.
This decision, which we qualify as “force majeure”, will probably have an impact on the operational costs (storage , demurrage , renewal of customs exemption documents, etc...) and the delivery turn time of your containers to Bangui as per the agreement, for which our responsibility will not be engaged.
We continue to monitor the situation and remain at your disposal for any further information at CM.delivrey@maersk.com - Contact 233 500 500.
