Change of agent in the UK
To continue our journey in becoming the global integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying your supply chains, last January 2019 we completed a re-organization of A. P. Moller-Maersk as one company across Ocean and Logistics & Services. With this letter, we would like to inform you of a change to our legal set-up of Maersk A/S in the UK.
Currently Maersk A/S operates in the UK through a registered legal branch. As of 1. January 2021, Maersk A/S will change its legal set-up in the UK. The branch will no longer be used and will be deregistered. Maersk Logistics and Services UK Ltd. will be appointed as agent for Maersk A/S. Maersk A/S will continue to be the legal service provider for the Ocean services provided to your company.
This change in agent will not have any impact on your current contract with us which will remain in force with Maersk A/S as the Principal on unchanged terms and conditions. Your normal contacts at Maersk will continue as your point of contact and they are ready to service you from the new agent Maersk Logistics and Services UK Ltd.
At the moment our teams are working very hard on changing our internal and customer facing IT systems and applications to reflect the new agent and to ensure all our documentation (including bill of lading, invoices and other transport documentation) will reflect the new agent of Maersk Logistics and Services UK Ltd. This change will take effect as of 1. January 2021 and we advise you to take all necessary measures to have this new agency change reflected in your systems as of 1. January 2021.
