The BREXIT transition period will expire on 31st December 2020 at 2300hrs GMT when Great Britain, apart from Northern Ireland, will leave the European Customs Union.
In order to comply with the EU Entry Summary (ENS) requirements for cargo transiting (transhipping and freight retained onboard) EU ports we will implement a no SI no load policy on our UK Export shipments.*
This means that as of 31st December 2020 we will require complete and accurate shipping instructions in advance of the vessel arrival into the UK for all export cargo including Belfast. Failure to supply this information by the deadline may result in short shipment and additional charges.
The relevant “SI – Non AMS” deadline will be included on your booking confirmation and is available in the Shipment Binder & Schedules section of Maersk website.
*This excludes US AMS where the deadlines remain unchanged.
