Maersk Spot storage, demurrage & detention terms are agile and dynamic in order to respond quickly to changes in market conditions. These terms are fixed at the time of booking. We understand that you need to be aware of the terms applicable to your shipments when they arrive. The Maersk Spot platform includes full visibility of the destination (import) storage, demurrage & detention free time when you look up a price or book with us. This can be checked in three ways
- At the time of rate search, price owner customers can see the terms on the pricing page
- At the time of booking customers can check the D&D terms in their shipment overview
- Before container discharge, consignees may refer to the import demurrage & detention section in their ‘Customer Dashboard’ for the applicable import free time conditions. There are 2 tabs, Storage and Detention: The Free Days granted for a specific shipment are visible and dates may be added to show the amount that would be invoiced
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local sales or customer service representative. We want to thank you for your business and look forward to continously serving your global transportation needs.
