Effective October 1, 2020 (based on origin cargo receipt), Maersk will implement a Genset Charge of USD 200 per container on all import operating refrigerated containers for CY delivery in Tampa, FL; New Orleans, LA; Mobile, AL; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Long Beach, CA; Oakland, CA, Portland, OR and Seattle, WA (except cold treatment cargo), that utilizes a Maersk provided genset.
Customers that elect not to use a genset, provide their own genset, or move with Maersk on a store door delivery basis will not be subject to the charge.
Those not using a genset will particularly benefit through faster terminal turntimes, and reduce any delays due to supply constraints.
If you wish to move a specific shipment without a genset, please contact our Customer Service team at US.import@maersk.com for more details. For blanket setups covering all your business, please reach out to your Sales Representative.
In addition, if you would like to explore store door delivery options please reach out to your Sales Representative.
