Our previous communication advised that Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) will be implementing an Unassigned Container Fee as of discharge 1st October 2020.
We would like to inform customers if TPT confirms implementation of this surcharge effective 1st October 2020, the below charge structure will be applicable which includes an admin cost of ZAR 200 per container, listed as follows
- 20’ container ZAR 1356
- 40’ container ZAR 1934
- 45’ container ZAR 2508
With the existing requirement from TPT for assignment of containers prior to vessels berthing, Maersk will maintain the documentation deadline on a vessel basis, for the receipt of import release documents. Should documents not be received prior to the advertised deadline with a valid Delivery Order issued, Maersk will have these containers marked for Overstay movement to the nominated depot.
