Due to ongoing port congestion resulting from poor weather conditions and delayed vessel berthing schedules on the Australian East Coast, we will be introducing a temporary adjustment to our OC1 service to protect schedule reliability and minimise interruption to our customers supply chain.
During a four-week period we will be omitting Sydney, Napier and Auckland on alternate sailings.
The omissions will occur as follow

We will continue to offer our customers a weekly departure from the impacted ports via alternative service coverage
Export Cargo
- Exports from Sydney to the Americas will load on our Southern Star service and connect to the OC1 via Tauranga transhipment.
- Exports from Napier to the Americas will load on our J-Star service and connect to the OC1 via Tauranga transhipment.
- Exports from Auckland to the Americas will be accepted at MetroPort, Auckland and railed to Tauranga to load on the OC1.
Import Cargo
- Imports to Sydney will discharge at Tauranga and connect to the following weeks OC1 vessel for final delivery Sydney.
- Imports to Napier will discharge at Tauranga and connect to our Southern Star service for final delivery Napier.
- Imports to Auckland will be discharge at Tauranga and railed to MetroPort, Auckland
We will be working closely with customers to minimise any business impact as a result of these temporary adjustments.
