We would like to notify you of some upcoming changes related to all international containers railing to or from the CSX Chicago 59th Street Terminal.
In order to improve fluidity at the terminal, CSX will be converting the facility from wheeled to grounded effective August 1, 2020. To prepare for this change, three rubber tired gantry cranes have been added to increase speed of container handling.
While this change officially takes place August 1, 2020, there will be a transition period beginning July 18, 2020. For clarity, please see below timeline and related changes at the facility.
