Out of Gauge and Break Bulk Cargos Acceptance

Here at Maersk, we are continuously striving to ensure that we provide the best service to customers and to ensure the safety of the cargo.

In line with this and effective immdiately, herewith are the updated processes and requirements for Out of Gauge and Break Bulk Cargos for both Philippines Export and Import Shipments.

• OOG and BBK shipments are subject for terminal's approval at the Destination prior to releasing of booking confirmation at Origin.
• OOG and BBK shipments must undergo direct-to-truck upon arrival (for import) or direct to vessel upon loading (for export). - OOG and BBK shipments to and from Manila North Port (PHMNLTM) must undergo direct-to-truck upon arrival (for import) or direct-to-vessel upon loading (for export)
• Actual pictures and diagrams of the shipment must be provided to PHI Marine Ops (destination) for acceptance assessment.

Requirements for Acceptance

• POL and POD
• Actual Pictures and Diagrams of the Cargo
• Cargo and Container Weight and Dimensions
• Container Type
• End Wall Position (for flat rack)
• Lashing Instruction and Certificate (if available)
• Actual Pictures of the Cargo stowed in the flat rack or open top (if available)
• Actual Pictures of the Cargo with indicated lifting points (if available)
• Confirmation that OOG shipment will be direct-to-truck upon arrival (for import) or direct to vessel upon loading (for export) - Confirmation that OOG and BBK shipment will be direct-to-truck upon arrival (for PHMNLTM discharge port) OR
• Confirmation that OOG and BBK shipment will be direct-to-vessel upon loading (for PHMNLTM load port)
