Follow up from our earlier advisory on the implementation of Gate-In Control policy at Port Klang since 2nd March 2020, we have progressed very well for the past months with your good support. Therefore, we have decided to fully implement strict enforcement of the gate in policy effective 1st June for all empty return container(s) to the depots in Port Klang.
Thus, effective 1st June, any container which exceeds the expiry date will not be accepted to be gated in at the depots. This policy is applicable for empty container(s) returned to the Depots in Port Klang only.
If container(s) are to be returned after the date stated on the Free Time Notification, please contact our local Customer Service at least 2 working days in advance for computation of the extra “Combined Demurrage & Detention” (D&D) * charges incurred. We will then provide you with the Proforma invoice. Please ensure that these D&D charges are settled prior returning the empty containers. This is only applicable for customers without D&D credit facility. Please note that the depot personnel will not accept the empty containers unless the D&D charges have been paid.
We thank you for your support to us so far in this initiative. Our partnership is important to us and we are happy to give you solutions that will make your shipping experience with us a comfortable and seamless one.
