Taking this opportunity to again reiterate the importance of submitting Verified Gross Mass (VGM) in accurate and timely manner. This advisory serve as a notice of enforcement of VGM submission for all ports in Thailand. For your information, effective from July 1st, 2016, every packed export container is required to have a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) as a condition of loading aboard a vessel. Maersk supports this requirement as it promotes safety across the industry, including for our customers and their cargoes, landside personnel and subsequently our employees and vessels.

Please be advised that effective from departure date: June 01, 2020 we will strictly implement NO VGM, NO LOAD policy and Weight Discrepancy Fee.

How should I submit the VGM to Maersk?

The preferred method for submission of a VGM to Maersk is through one or any of the digital channels after empty containers gate out as mentioned below

  • Via our Maersk website and login through our My Maersk portal.
  • Via EDI message for customers sending booking or shipping instructions with Maersk.
  • Via service portals such as INTTRA, GT Nexus, and CargoSmart.
