Seasonal Capacity Adjustment on Asia-Australia Services due to COVID-19 Impact
Due to market demand reductions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that we are all facing in managing the supply chain, Maersk is working to ensure all challenges are managed in the best way possible - including balancing our network to match reduced demand. We will therefore be seasonally suspending our YoYo service as of Week 18 until the end of June. The final voyage before the suspension will depart Xiamen on 22nd April and Melbourne on 11th May.
The service is expected to resume subject to improved market demand. Maersk will continue to review the demand picture and will continuously adjust deployed capacity to match.
In addition, we will adjust the schedule of our Dragon service to ensure we continue to provide South China coverage, by adding a call at Hong Kong both southbound and northbound. Our Hong Kong calls will offer comprehensive connections to the wider region. The first voyage to incorporate Hong Kong will be the MOL Genesis 017S / 020N ETD Yokohama 21st April.
We thank you in advance for your kind cooperation and understanding. Should you have any questions or concerns about your shipments, please give us a call on 1800 555 593 or alternatively try our Chat channel accessible via Maersk.com or send us an e-mail directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
