Mauritius Export Surcharges Update due to Covid-19 Outbreak
Following the outbreak of COVID-19, the Mauritius Government authority has implemented a few measures to protect the local manufacturers and medium enterprises against adverse effect.
Export
- We will expire the Export Service Fee (EXP), Port Additional Export Fee (PAE) for all export cargo from Mauritius to World and the Terminal Handling Origin (OHC), will be reduced to $27.5 for 20’ and $54,5 for 40’ effective 23rd March 2020 – 31st December 2020 for vessels arriving at Port Harbour.
Import
Maersk Measures to support Customers - (Applicable only for the period 20th March 2020 to 15th April 2020 for DRY cargo and vessels arriving at Port Louis Harbour only. Standard tariffs to be applied after 15th April).
- 50% reduction on standard tariff on import detention & demurrage for dry cargo only excluding all customers who have special deals already filed.
- Reefer falls under essential cargo category and should be allowed to move unhindered.
