In light of the recent strikes in France against the proposed pension reform, we would like to provide you with below update on the situation and how it can potentially affect your cargo flows.

The ongoing nationwide strikes affect all forms of transport across the entire country impacting the whole transportation sector, including Maersk’s ocean and inland services. As consequence, we are seeing significant disruptions to our network in both North and South of France. Recent attempts at arbitration and mitigating the situation have been unsuccessful and we therefore expect further delays and disruptions.

At Le Havre, our primary port in the North, there are no strikes currently announced.

At Fos-sur-Mer, our primary port in the South, a dockworker strike is currently announced for Thursday, 27th February from 12:00 until 13:00. The same strike has also been announced for Thursday, 5th March from 12:300 o 13:00 and continuing from 19:00 to 20:00. The same applies for Friday, 6th March from 02:00 to 03:00.

Further information will be shared as soon as available. We encourage you to visit this page regularly to follow further updates on the situation.
