Recovery for Handling - Imports (RHI)
Further to our previous communication on the application of Recovery for Handling - Imports charge (RHI) published on March 2nd, 2019, we have held several discussions with the Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authority on the payment terms requirements.
As a result, we would like to inform you that, effective from 1st May 2019, the payment of Recovery for Handling - Imports charge (RHI) shall follow the freight payer party. This means that for all shipments loaded on or after 1st May 2019, the RHI shall be paid by the same party who settles the ocean freight charges.
