Inland haulage in Somali is performed on merchant basis only - Maersk is not involved in this activity. All import containers are stripped in the terminal, and export containers are stuffed in the terminal. The majority of cargo moves to and from the port on local flat bed trucks arranged by the party to the shipment in Somalia. It is also possible to move cargo, but not containers, across the Somalia and Ethiopia borders.

Container Cleaning Imports (CCI) and Terminal Handling Service at Destination (DHC) for Berbera, Somalia MUST be settled at Origin.
