Export document registration enforced by customs

In line with the changes in the Union Customs code, we would like to inform you that as of 15th of October 2019 for cargo leaving from a Belgium port to another country,the customs documents need to be registered in C-point prior to departure.

The following documents need to be registered in e-Desk:

• COA: Overseas fiscal area declaration (including T2LF)
• EX: A normal export declaration (including EXZ)
• T2L Declaration of Community sea transport (free format)
• 226: Oral declaration (free format)
• T: Transit declaration

This rule is not new, however starting 15th of Ocober 2019, non-compliance will result in high fines from customs authorities ranging from 5000 EUR up to 7500 EUR.

May we remind you it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the document is timely registered in C-point prior to gate in of the container at the terminal to ensure timely communication to customs prior to departure.

We can also inform you that as of 1st of January 2020, a container without a document registered in C-point will not be loaded.

You can ask assistance from your customs clearance agent for this if needed, they can register it for you.
