Mombasa Port Situation

We recognize the importance of timely updates to your business, and we are committed to keeping you informed about our operations at the Port of Mombasa Kenya.

Over the past week, we have been experiencing heavy rains in Mombasa causing intermittent disruptions to operations. This has a direct impact on the speed of operations.
As a result of the higher than expected yard density, we are experiencing delays in vessel berthing and departures where some vessels have cut and run as scheduled to maintain their transshipment connections.

With the current situation we anticipate delays in berthing and subsequent impact on discharge and loading of Cargo on the vessels.

We appreciate your patience during this time and assure you that we are working around the clock with the port authorities and key stakeholders to minimise the impact on our customers.

All impacted customers will be notified of any of their affected shipments and all developments communicated accordingly.

As we accelerate our efforts, we ask that you take note of the cut-off times and plan to stack/gate in your export units in a timely manner to facilitate loading.

N/B: Due to the current challenges at the port, the above berths, sailing and cut off details are subject to change.
