Can I pay charges before an invoice is issued?

Yes. You can easily make online payments with or without an invoice — for shipping invoices, Bills of Lading charges, demurrage and detention fees, and container deposits. Make fast, flexible, and secure online payments directly through your MyFinance account. Watch the video guide to find out how, or follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Maersk.com and click Login in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Manage > Hub and in the left menu click MyFinance .
  3. Click Pay in the top right-hand corner.
  4. On the Payment checkout page, search using your Bill of Lading number.
  5. Review and confirm outstanding or expected charges. You may add/remove invoices as needed.
  6. Enter the amount you wish to pay.
  7. Select a payment method and accept the Terms & Conditions.
  8. Receive immediate payment confirmation online.

If you pay more than the issued invoice, a credit note will be created. Credits can be automatically applied to future invoice payments. You can view your account credits in the Credits tab when applicable.

Please note that this feature is only available for registered customers and authorised agents managing shipping accounts.
