When and where does my container get released?
For import customers
The release of your container is subject to local customs regulations, charges being paid and all relavant documents surrendered to the local Maersk office. Once cleared, you can send us a release or delivery order request from the Shipment details page on Maersk.com.
For export customers
We provide load itinerary information on the booking confirmation document which details the location of the empty container depot from where the container will be released. This will also have the date and time on when you can pick up the container.
