My name is Silvia, and for the past 13 years, I’ve proudly called Maersk my professional home. I joined in 2011 as an Accounting Manager, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to take on multiple roles that have shaped my growth, making me the person and professional I am today.

Currently, I am the Financial Controlling Manager for the Central and Southern European area, covering more than 10 countries, leading a team of nine people based across different locations. In my current role, I oversee our business development, supporting our CFO in financial, compliance and legal aspects, and collaborating with our business stakeholders. I love how my passion for finance translates into tangible results that contribute to Maersk’s success.

From professional courses like Finance course held in Doha in 2013 or compliance training, continuing with soft skills course as Strategy for Success, generative AI foundation, up to specialized programs, like the Financial Business Partner Master’s program, I’m currently enrolled in. Each one has helped me grow holistically and equipped me with the skills necessary to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.

I take pride in helping others grow, and one of my proudest moments is seeing those I’ve mentored advance in their careers.
