Export Storage and Detention charges in Djibouti & Ethiopia effective from 1st December 2021
In order to offer clarity on our invoicing of Export Storage and Detention, we would like to inform you that effective from 1st Dec 2021, we shall invoice using the following charge names.
- Export Port Storage: This is port storage incurred for exports that we invoice on behalf of the port operator as per the port tariff. Effective from 1st December 2021, it shall be invoiced through the charge name Storage Export.
- Export Detention: This is applicable when the customer holds the carrier equipment beyond the allotted free time. It is calculated from the date of empty pick up to the date of gate in full at the port. Effective from 1st December 2021, it shall be invoiced through the charge name Detention Export.
