Captain Peter is Maersk's reefer visibility assistant. It lets you remotely monitor a container's temperature. relative humidity, and O2/CO2 levels in real time, so you can take proactive action for your perishable cargo needs.

How it works

Captain Peter runs on Maersk's Remote Container Management (RCM) system, which enables a remote flow of data from our reefer containers. Our operations teams have eyes on your container from pickup through to delivery using the RCM alarm system. If problems do arise, they are quickly identified and rectified. This applies to all reefer shipments as part of our standard service.

What problem it solves

Perishable cargo is sensitive to fluctuating conditions during transit, and a long journey across multiple stages makes that harder to track. Captain Peter addresses this by giving continuous, real-time visibility into temperature and humidity rather than requiring you to wait for status updates at each leg.
