What is the difference between consolidation and deconsolidation?
Consolidation is combining less than full load (LTL/LCL) shipments of cargo into one shipment at a centrally located point of origin by a freight consolidator and transporting them as a single shipment to a destination point.
Deconsolidation is the opposite of consolidation, referring to the process of breaking down a large shipment into smaller units.
