We are on a mission to provide a better digital experience to our customers and our newest addition is the availability of Contractual booking on the Maersk App.
Maersk App users have been enjoying real-time updates, access to Maersk Spot rates, and the option to book ocean and inland transportation in one place. Spot bookings are very popular on the app and searching for prices is our most used feature. You can now also book Blockspace and Traditional Ocean quickly and easily, on the go.
Here is some key info about our new features:
Book Traditional contractual products
With this feature, customers who are eligible, are now able to make traditional contractual bookings in the app in the existing booking journey. The results page in the app will show you contractual and spot offers and highlight the cheapest. Once you have selected your offer, you can then add Freetime if needed.
Book Blockspace
With this feature, customers who are eligible are now able to make contractual Blockspace bookings in the app in the existing booking journey. The results page in the app will show you offers within your allocation or Spot offers. Once you have selected an offer, you will be able to add Delivery promise or Freetime.
Once any booking has been placed, you can track your shipments and favourite the most important ones to receive real-time notifications about the shipment status.
Some more improvements as a part of this recent update:
- See if the booking is a contractual offer or a Spot offer
- Add delivery promise options (where eligible)
- Change price owner – searching by customer code, trading name or recent search
- Track your booking using our existing shipment overview and favourite feature
