Maersk has endeavoured to balance our network to match reduced demand and will consequently blank an additional AE2 vessel Eastbound. We aim to minimize the impact to our customers supply chain and provide predictability by making a structural change and securing alternative routings.

To ensure our customers will not face any business disruption, all port calls on the AE2 service will be covered on other services in our network.

AE2 blanking will be as follows:

Week Service Vessel Voyage First Load Port / date Last Load Port / date
Madison Maersk
First Load Port / date
Felixstowe / 13/01/2020
Last Load Port / date
Algeciras / 25/02/2020

Alternative coverage for AE2 suspension

  • Felixstowe: Covered on AE6
  • Antwerp: Covered on AE6
  • Rotterdam: Covered on AE10
  • Algeciras Covered through inducement on AE5 (Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller 003E)

In connection with the Algeciras inducement, the AE5 service will omit Port Tangier. This port call will be covered by the AE6, which will induce Port Tangiers (MSC Katrina 003E).
