Container Deposit Refund - Week 42 (Updated 15-Oct-19)

Customer can check Container Deposit Refund Report after return empty container 10 working days onwards. And the report will be uploaded every Tuesday.
If your container include in the report, please place deposit receipt at Maersk's cashier on Tuesday - Thursday for refund process.

What is required to complete Customs House Brokerage?

Q: Could we proceed Adding broker with Customs without original ID card or passport presentation?
A: No, presentation of original ID card or passport at the time of registration is required by laws.

Q: What’s the total lead-time for all relevant registration process?
A: 2-4 weeks

Q: What is a classification number HS Code?
A: A classification number is a unique 8-digit code that relates to a specific product and determines the amount of Duty payable.

Q: Why do I need to provide a classification number HS Code?
A: It is the importers/Exporters legal responsibility to ensure the classification of their products are correct. However, if they are unsure please advise to contact Damco, who can assist in an advisory capacity only.

Q: How will I know when my shipment has cleared customs?
A: Our team at MyCustomsTH@Damco.com will email the customer with clearance paperwork as soon as the shipment has been released from customs and is free to leave the port.

Demurrage and Detention

Import : Customers will be offered Demurrage and Detention.

This means you will have separate free time and compensation for utilisation of equipment inside (Demurrage) and outside (Detention) of terminals or depots, import demurrage starts from vesseldischarge. And calculation method of both demurrage and detention will be changed from Traditional to Progressive calculation.

For Import Reefer, operator provides 3 days free storage charge and 4 days free plugging charge.

Restrictions

  • We cease acceptance reefer in-transit to Laos until further notice
  • We cease acceptance below commodity to Thailand

Chicken Feet

Regarding the dangerous cargo shipment, consignee is obligated to register/submit Master Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and shipment information through the port/terminal system at least 48 hours prior to vessel proforma ETA at THLZP. Any failure to comply with the above mentioned guideline will result as shipment to retain on board (ROB) to the last loading port/latest transshipment port at the customer’s expense.
