Procedures

General booking procedure

Booking details should be submitted contain all valid details such as container size, number of containers, commodity, destination and any special routing agreed with Maersk Line.

Confirmed booking number is the key link between your cargo and the Maersk system. Hence shippers are required to update the confirmed booking number on all shipping documents. This will enable us to give you a faster service and smooth post shipment follow up.

All bookings are accepted subject to the terms and conditions laid out in the Maersk Line bill of lading.

Weight / Measurement

  • No legal "over the road" weight limitation exists.
  • OOG cargo acceptance temporary ceased.

Documentation procedures

Shipping Instruction (SIs) Submission cut -off  as per the schedule details mentioned in Services & Cutoffs.

For Late SI Submission a charge of USD 25 per SI will be applicable with effect 16 July 2007.

**Also please note that for direct Cargo to USA, Canada and Europe where the advance manifesting and early SI submission is applicable (approx cut-off remains 48 hrs prior to Vessel Arrival.) **
