Import customs clearance

Established process, regulated by customs authorities to register all cargo introduced in to the country and guarantee tax and duties collection. Also assure that special permits are extended to the cargo by corresponding entities when applicable.

Export Customs Clearance

Established process, regulated by customs authorities to guarantee right execution of norms and activities allowed by law to export merchandise from national territory.

Transit Documents (in bonds)

The goods are transported from one custom to another with full suspension of duties and taxes under Customs Regulations control. Clearance is completed at destination custom.

HTS Classification

Based on technical cargo specifications a HTS code is assigned to the goods.

Non-Tariff Regulations (NTR) obtainment

Based on HTS code specific permits or licenses are required (i.e. Health, sanitary, environment permits, etc.)

Import

  • Consignee must be registered on DGI as importer
  • Importer must be registered on DGA and MGU
  • Importer must have a certificate of tax solvency
  • Customs agent must be authorized on MGU

  • Classification Number / HS code
  • Tax Solvency

Export

  • Exporter must be registered on DGI
  • Exporter must have a certificate of tax solvency
