Maersk is implementing measures to improve schedule reliability in its Far East Asia to Europe network. In combination with the Chinese New Year period, Maersk will have four (4) missed sailings and aim to free up these services for schedule recovery measures to respond to the recent, unprecedented market situation with severe port congestion and equipment limitations across global supply chains.
We are pleased to inform that as from today Madrid counter is operative again. Last week we informed you that due to the impact of winter storm Filomena, our counter of Madrid would be closed until further notice to avoid unnecessary movements and dangerous situations.
We are experiencing waiting times beyond 7 days at Long Beach terminal on the MCPS service. To address this ongoing congestion and to improve schedule reliability, we will consolidate MCPS calls at Long Beach by omitting east bound calls until the situation improves.
Due to the impact of winter storm Filomena, our counter of Madrid will be closed until further notice. This way we avoid unnecessary movements and avoid dangerous situations due to current conditions generated by the snowstorm over the weekend.
