This service covers the cost to use an additional driver for the inland export move, in order to reduce the transit time of long-haul trucking corridors (in many countries there are regulations in place regarding the maximum number of hours the drivers are allowed to drive).Additional driver Import (SDI)

Bonded cargo service for inland transportation (IBC)
It covers the administration cost to arrange the transfer of a container to a bonded warehouse.
The actual transportation cost from/to terminal to/from the bonded warehouse should be covered via IHE/IHI
Booking Services (OBK)
Origin Booking Services (OBK) charge covers booking management performed by Maersk on behalf of the customer at the origin location. Customers can gain from time and cost efficiencies through using a single Point of Contact to simplify documentation management and stakeholder coordination. Easy and efficient with no need for the customer to be involved in firefighting service failures through the booking process.

This fee is applied to all cancelled bookings. The amount is be based on a fixed cancellation fee + any additional costs that have arisen before the container was cancelled. The cancellation fee would also be applied in cases of:
- Reduced number of containers in a booking
- Change of Vessel
- No show
- Cancellation of Garment On Hanger and other special equipment
Captain Peter – Integrated Package (CPI)
Captain Peter is a visibility product for Cold Chain customers. CPI is the charge for the Captain Peter Integrated package which gives customers access to:
- Temperature, humidity and atmosphere levels of their live reefer shipments
- GPS map
- Datalog download
- Personalized email notifications
- 24/7 chat support
- Shared access with consignees and shippers
- Raw datalog data push via an API interface
Captain Peter - Premium Package (CP2)
Captain Peter for RCM (Remote Container Management) is a monitoring product for reefer customers. Basic visibility is free of charge, but customers can purchase access to Premium features (download of datalog, 24/7 chat support, personalized notification etc.). This charge is applicable when customers have opted for the Captain Peter Premium service on their reefer shipment.
Captain Peter – Single Datalog Download (CPL)
This CPL charge will cover the option for customers (who haven’t purchased a Captain Peter package as part of their contract) to purchase a single, one-off datalog to be downloaded directly from the Captain Peter web application. Customers can easily accept payment and self-service download the datalog data including temperature recordings from their reefer shipments to share with their stakeholders.Cargo Risk Management (CRM)
Charge for providing services including but not limiting to extending contractual obligations, providing additional cargo security, and extended mitigation measures to reduce the exposure to the cargo against any perils / threats while the cargo is handled / operated / custody and control of Maersk or its affiliates.Change of destination - Extra Restows (CED)
This is a service provided by carrier upon the customer’s request to amend the destination/delivery after a container is gated in at the port of origin, but prior to the arrival at the port of discharge. The charge involved wherever we have more restows require and, consequently, and extra cost associated and this cost includes only the cost incurred towards Change of Destination.Change of Destination Service (COD)
This is a service provided by carrier upon the customer’s request to amend the destination/delivery after a container is gated in at the port of origin, but prior to the arrival at the port of discharge.This service will not apply in the following scenarios:- Re-export- Inland change request- Extending inland haulage (Imports process)Maersk may refuse this service if it is not operationally possible, or if any regulatory limitations exist.Chassis Usage/4 Business Days (CU1)
Service of providing Chassis usage service to the customer for a period of 4 Business days.Cold Chain Hypercare (CCC)
Cold Chain Hypercare is monitoring service including dedicated resources in a control tower setup coordinating with people on ground to reduce off-power periods and timely mitigate alarms. The service entails:
- Prenotifications to terminals and vessels
- Follow up on unattended alarms/off powers
- Follow up on non-communicating shipments
- Ensuring datalog availability upon arrival
Cold Store - Handling Activities - EXP (CHE)
Covers the service of stuffing the container at a Cold Store for export activities. Covers the service of stripping the container at a Cold Storage facility for import activities. Charge for all activities at a warehouse related to goods receipt and dispatch (combined service for Handling In and Handling Out).

Export charge related to any inspection of the cargo or container which is done by a 3rd party, a government agency, or an authorized Damco/Maersk entity based on customer requirement. Service is performed as part of a bundle with cold storage/cross dock activities. Eg: Phytosanitary, Agricultural, Food Quality exam or a Quality control request by customer.

Export charges for materials provided at a cold store facility. Includes pallets, temp recorders, other packaging material (e.g. silica gel). Also covers airbags if required to secure cargo in a container or truck for delivery (also known as Dunnage bag and inflatable bags). For any other material provided at a cold store facility.

Cold Store - Warehousing Services - EXP (WSE)
Export charges for any other services performed at a cold store facility, such as rehandling, restacking, case pick, photos, lashing, etc. Includes constant storage temp checks, or other cold storage services that are not covered by any existing cold storage material code and which do not satisfy the criteria for having a new material code created, e.g. AMU (Asset Monitoring Unit) handling, Surveyor Charge, Measuring Fee, etc.

Cold Treatment Service (CTS)
This is a cold treatment service specifically for countries with strict import regulations. This service exterminates fruit flies and larvae by maintaining a low temperature for a pre-determined length of time so that exporters can sell commodities to countries that would not otherwise accept the goods. This is applicable upon the customers' request and is subject to the carriers' acceptance.Container Cleaning Imports (CCI)
The charge covers cleaning of a container after empty gate in based on need (penalty) and removal of special equipment within the cntr provided by Maersk (i.e liner bags, reefer bags, hangers etc). It does not cover "repairs and maintenance of container".Container Nomination Service (CNS)
This service pre-assigns the container numbers to bookings. Please note that it does not cover assigning a container of a specific quality, for example: Food Grade.Container Preparation – Other (CPP)
This service covers the preparing of the containers for the carriage of cargo; for e.g. hides and skins. The preparations are performed at a container yard (CY). These include manual lining of the container with plastic or moisture absorbent material, or insulation, and/or the installation of liner bags, as well as removal of the packing.Container Protect Add-on (CP4)
This product is only to cover the upgrade from CP1 to CP3 for countries that have CP1 as mandatory.
Container Protect Essential (CP1)
This product covers container cleaning and repair cost within a certain limit that will be different base on the import countries.
Container Protect Unlimited (CP3)
This product covers container cleaning and repair cost with no limit the price will be different per import countries.
Container Shifting Origin (CSO)
This charge covers any additional operational expenses due to extra container moves for reasons like re-stacking because of change of destination or vessel or moving of container from load stack to gate. It does not cover moves for inspections, or to enable ad hoc stuffing/stripping. These are already included under the charges for those respective services.Container Stripping Service (SPI)

Customs Navigator Fee - Destination (CND)
This service covers the cost of providing digital visibility services for customs clearance at destination. This is an add on to core customs clearance service charges.

This service covers the cost of providing digital visibility services for customs clearance at origin. This is an add on to core customs clearance service charges.
Customs Port Costs - Destination (CPD)
A charge that we pay on behalf of the importers to the port authorities. This is a pass-through charge. It is expected that we charge customer and recover from customer prior to paying Government authorities.
Customs Port Costs - Origin (CPO)
A charge that we pay on behalf of the exporters to the port authorities. This is a pass-through charge. It is expected that we charge customer and recover from customer prior to paying Government authorities.
Customs Visibility Destination (CVD)

The fee is applicable to all containers that are stored in the facility. Applicable fees might vary by country and per container based contractual terms agreed with the customers.
Note: this is not the same as Maersk Ocean’s DnD service. Customer using depot storage service may still subject to detention so long customer has not yet return the empty container
DEPOT Full Container Storage - Origin (DCO)
This fee is cover the service provided by Maersk Depot (LnS) of depot storage. It is applicable when the customer uses Depot facilities at Origin to store containerized cargo as per agreed terms and contracts.
The fee is applicable to all containers that are stored in the facility. Applicable fees might vary by country and per container based contractual terms agreed with the customers.

Destination Certificate Charge (DCG)
This service issues certificates with respect to vessel age, vessel conditions, in-house ML certificates at destination, etc. Please note that it does not cover certificates issued as part of an inspection (for e.g. veterinary certificate) which falls under the INI charge.Destination Genset Fee (DGF)
The service of providing a Genset for a refrigerated container moving under CY delivery service.
Destination Specialised Chassis (DSC)
This service applies for overweight cargo. It covers the supply of special chassis (except for tri-axle) for the import inland move. Special chassis allows for loading of cargo in the container that would be otherwise legally accepted at the destination country.
Special chassis includes but not limited to: 4-point lock fixed trailer; Sliding bogie trailer; Multi-function trailer; Slope frame ISO tank; Tipping trailer; Side loading trailer; low-bed-chassis.
Destination Step Deck Trailer (DST)
This charge covers the service of providing a step deck trailer to the customer for the Import haulage move. A step deck trailer helps to carry cargo that is too tall to go on other types of trailers.Detention in Transit Service (DIT)
The carrier has the ability to hold shipments at transhipment ports until further instructions are received from the customer. This gives the customers the flexibility to delay the cargo arrival, when it assists them in their business. Note: the carrier is unable to hold containers longer than 14 days unless the customer submits a written letter of indemnity to the carrier which states that the carrier will not be liable for any cargo damage not covered by Insurance during the extra detention period. The DIT charge is applicable based on the request by the customer and subject to the carrier’s acceptance.Disbursement Shippers interest Coverage (DII)
This is to introduce/create a new charge code called Disbursement Shippers interest Coverage (DII), in which Shippers Interest Insurance provided by Marsh (broker) and CNA (insurer) that offers ‘All Risk’ ICC(A) coverage.Drop Off Charge Imports (DRP)
This service applies when the carrier allows the drop off of the empty container at a different location from the one stated on the Bill of Lading as place of delivery. It applies only to Merchant Haulage (MH) containers and only for import cargo.SI DMR Free time extension 4 days (DA4)

Charge code based on ECO Delivery Ocean 100%, 50%, 25% & 10%, a solution where reduced GHG emissions fuels are used for ocean transportation, based on Maersk primary data. ECO Delivery 1.0 (ECO)
Charge code based on ECO Delivery Ocean 100%, a solution where reduced greenhouse gas GHG emissions fuels are used for ocean transportation based on Clean Cargo emission factors. Charges are subject to fossil fuel surcharges (FFF). Electronic Cargo Release Service - Export (TLE)
Also known as 'Telex' or 'Express' release, this releases the cargo at destination upon proof of identity of the receiver as consignee. This is done once all 3 original BLs have been surrendered by the consignee, or an authorised agent of the consignee, at another carrier's office location (not the discharge port). ESA will be used for maersk.com bookings on ESS corridors (SPOT/contract online) when the ECO Delivery Ocean product is chosen to then negate the impact of ESS, i.e. zero-out overall. As next step the respective charges ES3/ES4/ES5 will be added to the booking for the products EC3/EC4/EC5 to ensure correct and proportional ESS charge application.Emissions Studio Fee (ESF)
This Charge to bill customer for emissions studio tool. EMS 50%, 75%, 90% is the charge applied when contracting the ECO Delivery Ocean variant B50 (EC3), B25 (EC4) & B10 (EC5) on corridors/trades where EMS would apply.Extra Seal charge (ESC)
Additional services like providing/attaching extra seals to containers in the terminals falls under this surcharge. However, this should not be used for the first seal provided to the customers for their exports. (which should be included in the general service). This service covers the provision and/or instalation of hanger beams inside a container for garments to be hung for smooth transportation. This service is useful when transporting apparel.Green Fuels B50 (EC3)
A blended fuel product using both fossil fuels and reduced GHG emissions fuels* enabling customers to begin shifting to lowering their GHG emissions footprint in their supply chains. This service covers additional administrative tasks when a forwarder issues a House Bill of Lading (HBL). Once an HBL is provided by the forwarder, we issue an Original Bill of Lading (BL)/Transport Document (TPDOC). If applicable, we also file the actual details with the US Customs in addition to this.I
Import Door Delivery Surcharge (IDD)
This service ensures that all customs clearance documents and required formalities are handled by us on your behalf. For certain locations at destination, we often tie-up with third party agents for better efficiency. For inter-European cargo, this service is applicable upon the customers’ request and when they provide the required T2L documents.
Import Security Filing (ISF)
This service covers the cost of filing ISF on behalf of the USA based importer.
Inland Additional Import Service (IAI)
It covers any additional ad hoc costs that might occur during the import inland move that are not covered in our surcharge portfolio (please check the trigger tab for more details)
Inland Security Service Export (NSE)

Maersk Accelerate (MA2)
This charge code will be used for containers for which customers have purchased Maersk Accelerate as an ocean value added service together with their contract products. Containers will be block stowed and receive priority discharge to be ready for container pick-up by customers. Express gate out, expediated inland delivery and guaranteed destination change are optional subjective to local market evaluation.
Maersk Visibility Studio (MVS)
Maersk Visibility Studio is a real time visibility tool that covers CY/CY & CY/SD LCL & FCL ocean moves as well as other modes of transportation such as rail & landside moves. It is a digital tool that is offered by Maersk and available on Maersk.com for all global subscribers to MVS. This can be applied to all Maersk ocean clients and is able to also deliver multi carrier visibility.Magnum Reefer Service (MGM)
We provide this service when you require containers whic are capable of cooling/freezing cargo to -35°C (as opposed to the regular -30°C).Manifest Pendencies or Amendments (PAM)
This service covers additional costs to carrier due to shipper’s failure to submit information or amendments requested after certain deadlines.
Additional costs include out of pocket operational expenses incurred by carrier such as re-nomination, shifting, port storage, administrative charges, manifest amendment, etc Any consequential expenses incurred. are not covered under PAM and those costs will have to be invoiced separately as allowed per tariff or contract.
Manual Booking Amendment Fee (MBA)
The fee covers booking amendments requested via manual channels (phone, fax, e-mail and chat), when same could have been done through the Carrier’s E-channels.Manual Booking Fee (MBF)
A fee which covers the additional administration required by the carrier to process booking instructions received via non e-channel. These are known as manual bookings. Manual bookings are: fax, e-mail, posted mail, and telephone. This fee will be applied in addition to the standard ODF/DDF charges when a customer makes a booking via manual booking channels.Manual Documentation Processing Fee (MDF)
This fee covers the additional administration required to process shipping instructions received via non e-channel. These are known as manual booking channels. Premium Quality Container (PQC)
We provide this service when your cargo requires containers of a specific quality such as food grade containers, containers of a specific age, containers designed for specific commodities like electronics, etc. The quality assessment is defined and carried on by the respective clusters. This charge also includes the cost of inspection of the empty container to make sure it meets the requirements.Pre-Pull service Export (PPE)
This service covers the request of the customer, that a full container is pre-pulled from the terminal to the Inland Carrier’s yard to avoid terminal storage for an export move.Pre-Pull service Import (PPI)
This service covers the request of the customer, that a full container is pre-pulled from the terminal to the Inland Carrier’s yard to avoid terminal storage for an import move.Probe Service (JTC)
This service covers the installation of probes to monitor and record the temperature while your refrigerated cargo is in transit. There are certain commodities (that require cold treatment where this service is mandatory in order to be accepted for transport. In that case, we automatically facilitate this service even without specific customer request.Q

Rollable Compensation (RBC)
This is a compensation that is paid out to Customer by Maersk only once irrespective how many times a container has been rolled. It only applies in case the booking is rolled by Carrier - due to circumstances within their control. This compensation would be proactive and automated once the container have been confirmed delayed.

SOC is a fee applicable to shipper‘s owned or leased equipment transported by the carrier.Storage Export (STE)
In addition to the Pre-Pull Charge (PPE) fee, a Storage Export Charge (STE) applies when at the request of the customer, Carrier pre-pulls a full container from the CY terminal to the Inland Carrier’s yard to avoid terminal storage. STE covers the cost of storage per container.Storage Import (STI)

Setpoint Change Charge (SCC)
Setpoint Change Charge will be used for two purposes:
- As a fee to be applied to customers requesting a set point change AFTER the booking has been released.
- As a surcharge to bookings where customers are requesting Multiple Setpoints in terms of temperature step up/down during the journey.
The charge covers the cost of changing the setpoint – remotely or manually, to amend transport documents and follow up that setpoint in fact has been amended.

This is a fee to process a simplified import procedure for the local customs authority. This procedure can only be made when the importer has received authorization from the local authorities.
Single Truck Surcharge - Destination (STD)
This service covers the cost of moving one container in one truck. This service is applicable to all containers that customer request to move on a single basis for the direction of import.
Single Truck Surcharge - Origin (STS)
This service covers the cost of moving one container in one truck. This service is applicable to all containers that customer request to move on a single basis for the directions of export.
Star Care Reefer Service (CAS)
Controlled Atmosphere (CA) charge covers the additional costs associated with providing a special-atmosphere-controlled refrigerated container for transportation. These types of containers ensure the gas mixture of oxygen and carbon dioxide is regulated and are offered in two different products: 1) Star Fresh: Active CA. 2) Star Care: Passive CA. These apply when the carrier receives a request for this type of container.StarRipe CR (Controlled Ripening) (SRC)
Star Ripe CR is a new container type in our reefer fleet and basically an enhancement of our StarCare CA (Controlled Atmosphere) containers with the additional ability to ripen fruit, offering an alternative to stationary ripening chambers at destination. Fruit, e.g. bananas, ripening inside the reefer container during the trip will save time and support the banana trade with additional ripening capacity.Stuffie Reefer Service (STF)
This service is for the times you need special refrigerated equipment with a hole in the roof and membrane towards ULT. Through this, we ensure that a low temperature is maintained while loading so that the cargo inside the container can be cooled down to -60°C within hours.Switch Transport Document Service (SWC)
This service enables switching transport documents such as BLs to show new parties by issuing a second set of documents. A switch protects the interests of the cargo intermediary by preventing the shipper from being visible to the buyer.T
T1 Documentation Fee (T1D)
If you are transporting non-community goods between two locations within the European Union customs area, this fee issues the required T1 documents as per the EU tax regulations. It is applicable for all EU shipments and allows taxes to be suspended until the cargo reaches its final destination.Temporary Customs Service - Import (TCI)
A service in which the carrier pays the charges for temporary customs clearance of the container (not cargo) on the customer’s behalf and the related costs are then passed onto the customer.
This service is applicable upon the customer’s request.
Tipper Trailer Export ( TTE)
Charge covers the service of providing a tipper trailer to the customer for the export haulage move.
Tipper Trailer Import (TTI)
Charge covers the service of providing a tipper trailer to the customer for the import haulage move.
Transhipment Letter (TSL)
Service that provides -after the client's request- the preparation of the transhipment letter, including courier services to deliver the letter to the client.Transport Document Amendment Fee Export (AME)
