How do you live safety?

What does 24/7 Safe mean to you as a Maersk employee? Show us and you could feature in our Global Safety Day film. Just snap a photo, post it on social media using the hashtag #welivesafety and we’ll do the rest. Scroll down for more information on how to participate.

From offshore to office life, port to platform, the safety of every one of our 88,000 workers matters. We focus on creating a working environment in which staying safe is deeply rooted into behaviour, performance and company culture. This year, for Global Safety Day, we would like to give you the opportunity to showcase how #welivesafety every day, 24/7.

How to participate

  • Snap a photo or 30-second video on what safety means to you
  • Share on social media with the hashtag #welivesafety
  • Or post on Maersk social media channels with the hashtag #welivesafety
  • Or message us on social media and we’ll post it for you

What can you post?

Show us how you live safety by capturing it on your phone or camera as a photo or a short video of no more than 30 seconds. We’re looking for entries from all over the globe, no matter what your job is. The theme is 24/7 Safe - “24 hours of safety”, and we need images and videos taken at all times of the day and night in all types of situations.

We are looking for inspiring everyday snapshots of real life – from actual safety measures, equipment, training and protocol to coming home safely and being greeted by your loved ones (pets included!). Living safety can have many different meanings – show us yours.

How do you post?

You can share your moments with us on social media a couple of ways:

  • Using the hashtag #welivesafety on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, which gives us permission to repost it on Maersk social media as well as use it in the film
  • Send us a private message on social media, also using the hashtag #welivesafety
  • Tag us in a post on your social media page using the hashtag #welivesafety

What will happen to my photos and videos?

The entries will be collected and turned into a short film that will be shared on our social media channels and website on Global Safety Day, Thursday 27 April. With a social media audience of more than 5 million people, it’s an opportunity for all of us to celebrate our safety success with the world.

Any social media post using #welivesafety will stream on this page, so check back and see what your colleagues are doing.
