Sines Port – Update of 20th May 2019

Dear Valued Customers,

Following the oil spill incident occurred in Sines where the port activity suffered severe disruptions due to all the maneuvers and operations that had to be conducted for the cleaning and reopening of the affected piers,  and the now added impact of the ongoing stevedores strike, Maersk will ensure communication of the various omissions and operational contingencies through the below table:

11-04-2019 MADRID MAERSK 911W Import Port omission due to berthing unavailability, as a result of an oil spill incident Vessel discharged in alternative port of Le Havre, France. Connection from Le Havre to Sines on vessel MSC DOMITILLE. MSC DOMITILLE - 27/04/2019
19-04-2019 MUNKEBO MAERSK 912W Import Port omission due to berthing unavailability, as a result of an oil spill incident Vessel discharged in alternative port of Antwerp, Belgium. Connection from there in 2 different vessels: PALINA -06/05/2019 DEMETER - -15/05/2019
> Cargoes with final destination Sines: vessel DEMETER, ETA Sines 15th May
> Cargoes with final destination Bobadela: vessel PALINA, ETA to Yilport Lisbon, Liscont terminal, 6th May
02-05-2019 MSC BETTINA 914W Import Port omission due to stevedores strike Vessel will discharge in the alternative port of Antwerp, Belgium. DEMETER - 15/05/2019
> Cargoes will connect from Antwerp to Sines on vessel DEMETER, ETA Sines 15th May
09-05-2019 SEALAND ILLINOIS 916E Export Cut & Run due to stevedores overtime strike As a consequence of the overtime strike in Sines, berthing for SEALAND ILLINOIS 916E was severely delayed/reduced. Vessel was forced to perform an operational "CUT & RUN", interrupting loading operations before ending. Some containers in plan could not be loaded and are now planned for MSC ANTONIA 917E, expected in Sines on the 16th May. 16-05-2019
