Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely payroll processing for substantial number of employees (approx. 800+ headcounts)

  • Manage the performance of the payroll vendors to ensure SLAs are met

  • Taking charge of the payroll related initiatives/projects

  • Process input to payroll vendors, runs test runs, checks, reconciles and checks to ensure correct salary is paid before running payroll

  • Collaborate and work closely with internal stakeholders (HR Team, Regional/Global Operations Team) on data quality management, vendor performance and continuous process improvement.

  • Compiles employees related cost invoices, reconciles cost against invoices

  • Provides monthly cost information to relevant stakeholders

  • Handle base & year-to-date control (Accruals)

  • Follow up on staff movement to ensure timely updates to payroll

  • Handle employee queries on all payroll matters promptly

  • Tax Clearance, and liaison with payroll and e-leave vendors

  • Leave system administration – year-end leave closing and carry forward exercise

  • Liaise with government agencies for tax and government claim matters

  • Liaise with auditors on payroll auditing matters (for various entities)

  • Perform monthly internal controls for payroll (RICC)

  • Any other duties as assigned – headcount requests, etc.

We are looking for

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent.

  • At least 5 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Ability to communicate in local language.

  • Good knowledge of Malaysia payroll, blue collar employees payroll, end-to-end payroll processing experience is a MUST.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of the Workday payroll system is an advantage.

  • Good communication skill is needed, stakeholders management.

  • Skills needed: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams.
