CHB Operations Manager

Purpose
Oversees all aspects of CHB operations and any related problem resolutions. Must build and maintain strong and ongoing client relationships. Must possess and demonstrate strong leadership in CHB and be able to work collaboratively with large operational teams. Furthermore, the person needs to be able to articulate a long-term vision for the CHB department and to convert strategic objectives into action plans for his/her team.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain strong customer relationships to improve service and increase customer satisfaction (will include MBR/QBR meetings as required).
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure consistent service
delivery.
Identify customer needs and oversee service delivery within CHB context.
Manage team performance through tracking service metrics, quality control and proactively driving capacity management and workload sharing amongst teams.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action plan when issues arise with customers.
Determine ways to be cost effective without sacrificing customer satisfaction and drive productivity improvement.
Provide leadership and guidance to employees and offer positive feedback to promote learning and continued education.
Drive performance management within teams – objective setting, performance reviews, compensation, etc.
Required experience & skills
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Customs House Brokerage License Required
10 years of experience in the industry and at least 5 in Management / Leadership roles
A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently
Persistently drives issues to closure
Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated leadership, people and process management skills
Time management skills to prioritize and balance of daily tasks, client and network needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
