Trade and Customs Consultant

The GTCC Consultant / Associate Consultant reports to the Regional Head of Global Trade & Customs Consulting (GTCC) and is part of the global GTCC community of experts.

The Associated Consultant role requires a basic knowledge of international customs and the global flow of goods upon entry. It also requires a basic understanding of our client´s business needs and how customs can increase profitability and efficiency for long lasting success. The role requires some independence as the training and coaching continues.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of limited customs inquiries related to customs consulting

• Act dominantly as resource according to Consulting Delivery model:

• Handles part of a project together with delivery leader in large projects

• Practice and gain experience in written and verbal customer interaction;

• Desire to develop and learn

• Work against set targets

• Develop basic business plans to drive smaller changes.

We Are Looking For

• BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field.

• At least 8 - 10 years of experience in global trade and customs consulting area.

• Good in business acumen / analytics skills.

• Building experience in 2-3 listed expertise areas (e.g. classification, origin).

• Organization skills to manage own actions and limited tasks.

• Be able to make limited estimations of value and cost for customer in proposal phase.

• Good communication skills in English.
