Key Responsibilities:
Direct all payment activities in the organization and ensure continued strive for excellence and efficiency.
Oversee general ledger postings where relevant, ensuring that accounting records are accurate and established standards, both local and APMM GAP, are adhered to. This is to be achieved through value-based teamwork, active communication and it is expected that you make constant process improvement in the way we do our business. Specific Responsibilities:
•Perform day to day payment activities, i.e. accounting transactions, scanning invoices.
•Maintain all supporting documents in an orderly manner, archive by scanning all documents and statements, ledgers, etc.;
•Delivers on concrete defined tasks and provides administrative support to othersSupports team on ad hoc tasks
Connect with the country and other teams for relevant information and action as necessary
Follow up with GSC team to monitor general ledger postings and clearing, ensuring that accounting records are accurate and established standards, both local and APMM GAP, are adhered to.
Proactively highlight any performance/process gaps and room for improvement, and follow-up with the relevant stakeholders.
Utilize accounting knowledge of processes and understanding of impact on other work groups to assist others on more complex issues.
Continuously seek, propose and establish improvements in the processes handled.
Serve as back-up resource in the absence of other team members.
Requirements:
2 years of accounting-related work experience
Microsoft applications: Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment and to perform in highly interruptive conditions to meet time pressures/deadlines.
High level of confidentiality and discretion
Possess an analytical mindset and the ability to understand the business
Shares knowledge, ideas and information openly.
Communicates in a clear and concise manner; conducts effective meetings; keeps people informed; solicits input from colleagues. Develop personal relationship:
With other finance departments members to facilitate the providing of the needed data.
With other departments heads to enable opening discussion of possible challenges.
Focuses on best practices and continuous improvement, generates an output of high accuracy and attention to detail.
