The HR Business Partner provides Human Resource Systems oversight, recruiting, execution, training and guidance to business units on a day to day basis. Responsible for developing training and managing training events and processes, and analyzing data as required.

Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

-Partner with business teams to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies and processes that successfully deliver against strategic objectives, both current and long term.
-Develop and implement workforce planning strategies, establish recruiting sources and budgets ensuring OFCCP compliance.
-Help facilitate the personal development planning process for senior leaders and key talents.

Employee Relations:
-Provide HR consultation to management team
-Responsible for the maintenance of local policy updates
-Create and maintain a positive employee relations environment as well as quality working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
-Analyze situations, investigate, identify root causes and provide effective and proactive resolution.
-Provide support to MLL leaders and colleagues’ on various HR-related questions and issues, determining appropriate follow-up and sense of urgency.
-Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships with Managers and their teams.

Recruitment and Compliance:
-Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
-Leverage online recruiting sources and in-house job boards to recruit top talent.
-Create and foster relationships with colleges, universities, and various professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates.
-Manage the hiring process by following up regularly with managers and candidates
-Pre-screen candidates
-Work with managers to identify key competencies of a successful candidate in preparation for behavioral interviews.
-Conduct face-to-face behavioral interviews.
-Organize, lead and document post interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates.
-Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit, if required.
-Coordinate third party recruitment and staffing services & handling completion of all affiliated paperwork
-Assist with special projects and research related to legal issues and best practices in HR
-Maintain relationships with third parties
-Coordinate/Perform related on-boarding responsibilities for MLL

Compensation:
-Understand and communicate the Organization’s compensation philosophy as required.
-Prepare candidate salary recommendations for Head of HR/Management Leadership Team review
-Assist managers through the process of creating job descriptions and job evaluations as required.

Training & Development:
-Conduct and facilitate local HR systems and HR cycle training as necessary.
-Assist with performance management process.
-Process owner for LMS system
-Coordinate local training events

Communications:
-Support HR team with all written communications

Benefits Liaison for MLL:
-Maintain relationship with Maersk NAM Benefits group as a conduit for related MLL communications and program execution

We are looking for

Education and Experience:

-Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
-5 plus years of Human Resources experience required.
-Experience handling legal matters and filings.
-Proven ability to respect Confidentiality as relates to employee matters, personal information and company confidential information is required.
-Workday experience preferred
-Microsoft Office experience required.
-SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification a plus

Certifications desired:
-SHRM-SCP
