Key responsibilities

•Establish and disseminate global standard operational procedures (SOPs) and conducts periodic operational audits of related processes and procedures to ensure conformance and contract compliance.
•Manage the Maersk Global Government Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with Regional Government Contract Execution teams and local Maersk stakeholders to ensure compliant SOP’s for executing Government contracts.
•Provide performance metrics, daily support and contractual guidance to the global GCE team to ensure an optimized approach to global execution of the US Government contracts
•Communicate with all involved Maersk (NAM and Overseas) regional organizations to ensure clear understanding of contract and operational requirements, and how services will be executed and documented in conformance with all contract and statutory requirements
•Arrange periodic audits to ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory requirements.
•Responsibility for addressing any potential compliance issues (e.g. contract interpretations, operational execution challenge, invoicing, etc.) and track until resolution
•Disseminate US Flag global advisories to affected colleagues to adapt to an ever-changing environment
•Work closely with MLL Compliance to escalate contractual issues warranting USM feedback
•Responsible for ensuring an overall compliant organization for all Govt funded accounts within both MLL and ML SPL teams
•Responsible for all metric dashboards for both activity-based performance and compliance

We are looking for

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
•5years of experience in the transportation industry and in request for quotes (RFQ)
•Strong interpersonal skills specific to internal company product-attributed based forwarding concepts.
•Strong technical skills in Excel and MS PBI
•Excellent process mapping skills
•In-depth knowledge and experience with US Government Cargo transportation
•Strong understanding of transportation industry and in particular, international shipment cost drivers and customer service delivery process
•Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition
