Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

Key responsibilities

•Processing and organization of all documentation needed to initiate and complete movement of freight
•Verify all delivery orders and bills of lading have been received and are correct
•Check that data is correct in the system and input any missing data
•Ensure that all documentation is processed in a timely manner
•Maintain data integrity so that distribution can be received with no exceptions
•Process paperwork out to operations at a container level
•Schedule inbound deliveries and outbound pickups
•Communicate on a daily basis with customer, broker and other departments, including managers and/or supervisors when issues arise
•Monitor and report any level of service failures to the Customer Service Manager
•Support Maersk Distribution's commitment to quality, which includes customer specific Quality program(s), training requirements and work instructions

We are looking for

•1+ years' experience either in warehouse or transportation industry
•1+ years' experience in customer service
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel
•Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends may be required Soft Skills
•Must be assertive self-starter
•Organizational skills, meticulous flow-through skills
