Reporting to the Head of Global Security the Senior Security Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing a security management program spanning across both Duty of Care and Supply Chain Security Management within the APA regional Area of Responsibility (AoR).

This role is based in Singapore to proactively work closely with the wider security community in APA across Areas and Terminals while supporting and guiding leadership on security related matters.

A primary area of focus will be working with counterparts in Areas and Terminals ensuring that minimum security related standards are implemented and aligned across Region, and that APA as well as Global Security leadership can take informed decisions in terms of security related risks. Capacity building is another larger area of focus to further upskilling security counterparts in Areas and Terminals.

Key responsibilities

COE: Functional Leadership:
• While not a primary responsibility, the Senior Security Manager in Region is required based on request from the Head of Global Security to actively engage in developments and/or review of security related standards, processes etc. supporting colleagues working in the security COE function
• Implement policies, templates, procedures, and guidelines for security measures related to our facilities (depots, terminals, warehouses etc.) making sure that they are adequately protected and in compliance with relevant regulations (C-TPAT, TAPA, AEO, IATA and ISPS, etc.) and our people (Duty of Care)

Implementation: Integrated Brands
• Promote and educate counterparts in the Areas and Terminals in security related part of the HSSE Management Framework
• Proactively work with counterparts in Areas and Terminals ensuring that security requirements, including both duty of care and supply chain security related requirements are implemented across the region.
• Serve as primary point of contact in APA for supply chain security enquiries and provide support to the development of Maersk global and regional supply chain security strategies.
• Implement policies, templates, procedures and guidelines for security measures related to our facilities (depots, terminals, warehouses etc.) making sure that they are adequately protected and in compliance with relevant regulations (C-TPAT, TAPA, AEO, etc.)
• Ensure compliance and good standing with individual requirements set forth in global regulatory transportation programs (e.g. C-TPAT, AEO, TAPA, ISPS) to further enable secure and efficient movement of goods
• Represent Global Security during key client Audits, Meetings, and Business Partner Reviews
• Educate counterparts in Areas and Terminals in use of information platforms available along with tools (internal and external) required to report incidents, conduct security risks assessments etc. 
• Ensure that the APMM Security Risk Management scope and mandate is shared, and that frontline staff receive advice and assistance in how to implement, monitor and quality assure security P&S.
• Proactively support counterparts in Areas and Terminals with incident handling and investigations where required 
• Ensure that Terminals are ISPS compliant and that risk mitigation activities are implemented, monitored and evaluated for quality, impact and relevance.
• Monitor security and geo-political developments in the Region and proactively assist counterparts in Areas and Terminals mitigate identified risks. 
• Oversee and proactively support counterparts in Areas and Terminals with implementation of special projects (e.g. duty of care project in high risks area).  
• Maintain regional security related dashboards in close coordination with the Insights and Digital Lead and keep leadership in AoR abreast of statistics, agreed KPIs (leading and lagging) and actions to mitigate risks.
• Where agreed ensure employees from other non-integrated brands are fully incorporated into duty of care initiatives and follow same standards (ref. commit Rule). Escalate to Head of Global Security is there are concerns. 
• Support the Learning Hub in developments of security related training and/or awareness material and take part in training and capacity building sessions as required.
• Identify areas locally where security awareness is required and run sessions in close coordination with counterparts in Areas and Terminals to create awareness and to mitigate risks
• Support senior leadership in AoR with security related requests and enquiries
• Perform all other tasks and/or projects as assigned by line manager or department head

We are looking for

• Minimum 10-15 years of proven track record working in areas related to security risk management, supply chain management or similar at a senior security manager level is required.
• Education/certification from a well-established educational faculty in an area associated with security management, supply chain management or emergency/crisis management from recognized educational institution or employer
• Experience with supply chain security from larger logistics company in the APA region and from a similar role
• Well-articulated and used to present or pitch towards senior management required
• Certified PFSO (desirable)
• Industry security regime experience of C-TPAT, TAPA, AEO and IATA at a level where you can be the point of contact for such in APA.
• English level of minimum 13 – EF
• Prior Leadership experience / role from within APA
• Audit experience (desirable)
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written (English) at all levels – especially at a senior management level
• Proficient MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)
• Proven ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
• Demonstrated strong networking and interpersonal skills and professionalism to deal with all levels of personnel
• Demonstrated ability in developing and using relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of goals
• Must have good problem-solving skills and be able to quickly identify, define, adjust to and resolve problems
