Infrastructure Engineer
Key responsibilities
Design and delivery activities of VMWare and private cloud solutions for Maersk Technology.
Managing/Implementing and improving of automated delivery of VMware workload across the technology stack
Deliver standard builds with correct sizing, security, access control, scale, Failover/HA and monitoring implemented according to Reference standard or requirement document.
Support devOps ways of working aligned to SRE principles
Design and automate ground to cloud and cloud to ground implementation patterns
Operate in an agile way to deliver backlog of infrastructure outcomes
Data centre Migration activities arising from Mergers and acquisitions/Business decisions.
Help develop and maintain engineering strategy and roadmap for the data centre and VMWare estate
Simplify the e2e delivery and support the agile transformation
Drive consistency in delivery, improvements in turn-around time and reduction in TCO
Delivery across OS, Middleware, Database and Web server layers
Hands-on in Linux(RHEL) OS and Windows Operating system.

Knowledge of storage, backups & restore
Experience in migration
