Our recruitment process

The recruitment process starts when you’ve submitted your application online and the confirmation pop-up appears on your screen.

Review and short-listing of interviewees

If from your application, you appear to fulfil the criteria we have outlined in the job advertisement, we will aim to get back to you within a few days of receipt of your application. It is, however, important for us to review all applications carefully, so please bear with us if it takes longer to respond.

In reviewing your application we use a combination of best-practice assessment tools and personal interviews to make sure you’ll be the perfect match for the position you’re applying for. 

Fraud alert

Maersk does not charge any application-, processing- or training fee at any stage of the recruitment process, ever. The Group is, however, currently aware of fictitious vacancy announcements that are being circulated on the internet, where potential applicants are enticed to respond to fake job ads. If you have questions about vacancy announcements you may have received, please refer to this website, and to the contact person listed in the vacancy in question.

We are always on the lookout for talented and ambitious individuals who can contribute to the success of our company. We ask that you use the job search area to find the right job for you and your qualifications. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.


First interview

Your first interview will most likely be conducted by HR and focus on your personal skills and capabilities. We use online or hard copy assessment tools to try to form an objective picture of your logical capabilities and personal characteristics.

Second interview

The second interview is normally conducted by the hiring manager – who will also make the final hiring decision. This interview focuses more on the specific skills and qualities required for the position.
