•Diversions are subject to the agreement of the Carrier and Local Authorities. Maersk reserves the right to reject a request for Change of Destination for operational reasons. • All Freight charges are subject to contract filed; Maersk tariff rates will be applicable if the new requested destination is not covered in the service contract(s). • While Maersk will make every attempt to accommodate the requester’s change in destination, the request CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. The status of the request may change at any time because of various operational and other considerations. You may also be asked to guarantee additional free time charges if your diversion request will cause container to dwell beyond agreed free time. • Diversions of 20’ containers may require additional container (mate) to move to inland destinations. Maersk will quote total cost (cost of move + cost for additional container) in these instances. If it is found that additional container is not required for inland movement these charges will be adjusted.
