New enhanced product setup - Far East Asia to/from U.S. Gulf

Maersk is pleased to announce today the start of a second Far East Asia to U.S. Gulf service loop – TP88 – together with our partners.

The decision has been made to keep serving our customers’ needs and supply chain demands, at a time when the Panama Canal draft restrictions reduce the capacity on the existing loops. By adding Miami to the U.S. Gulf network, we will enable our customers’ continued growth to both the U.S. East Coast and U.S. Gulf.

The new service will result in revision of our existing Gulf service – the TP18, and will be setup as follows:

While exact berthing windows are yet to be finalized, we can share the following product highlights:

• 6 days faster transit times from East China into U.S. Gulf
• New direct call added in Tampa
• Two weekly cut-offs in Houston and Mobile serving U.S. export needs

Until further notice, all other Maersk services on the Pacific trade remain as is.
