Maersk talent speaks up at ‘One Young World’

Thirteen young Maersk employees weighed in on a variety of topics, including transparency and integrity, at the 3rd annual 'One Young World' summit held over the weekend in Pittsburgh, USA.

The annual event held by the charity, One Young World, mixes political leaders like Bill Clinton and Kofi Annan and CEOs like Twitter's Jack Dorsey with aspiring members of the next generation of global leadership.

Growing the talent pool

This year, thirteen Maersk employees from twelve growth market countries joined 1,300 delegates from organizations all over the world to share ideas, experiences, and work toward commitments to positive change in areas including: education, global business, health, human rights, leadership and governance, sustainable development and transparency and integrity.

INTERIM REPORT 1st Quarter 2013

“We have improved our performance in the past year and we are satisfied with our result for the first quarter," says Group CEO Nils S. Andersen.

"Maersk Line is much more competitive and has gained strength to deal with the challenging shipping markets.

"During the year, Maersk Oil has replaced its reserves successfully and we will continue with a high exploration level to develop our portfolio for the long term.

"APM Terminals continues to progress in growth markets while Maersk Drilling has overcome its operational issues and is back on track."
