The Ngqura Container terminal in Port Elizabeth (NCT/Coega) is expected to be extremely congested over the next week due to

  1. Distress vessel occupying a berth for at least 10 days
  2. Bad weather
  3. Poor productivity and Transnet inefficiencies

To alleviate the pressure on the terminal and the ensure we provide best possible coverage for our customers, the Maersk Cap Carmel will call Port Elizabeth Container Terminal (PECT), we expect berthing around the 29th of August – weather permitting.
