Søren Skou is appointed Executive Vice President

Senior Vice President Søren Skou (39), Vedbæk, has been appointed Executive Vice President in A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S.
Søren Skou joined A.P. Møller in 1983 as a shipping trainee and after having completed his shipping education he was stationed to New York. In 1986, he returned to Denmark where he joined Maersk Line (now Maersk Sealand).
In 1994, Søren Skou was stationed to China as Operations Manager. In 1998, he returned to Maersk Line at the head office in Copenhagen as Director. In 1999, he was transferred to Maersk Tankers and appointed Vice President.
Søren Skou was appointed Senior Vice President in 2001 and since 2001, he has been responsible for Maersk Tankers and Trampers, which includes A.P. Møller’s activities within crude oil, product and gas tankers as well as car carriers.
Søren Skou has supplemented his education with an MBA from IMD as well as management courses at INSEAD.
