Søren Laungaard is appointed Vice President

Senior Director Søren Jens Laungaard (33), Virum, is appointed Vice President in A.P. Møller.


Søren Laungaard joined A.P. Møller in 1990 as a Finance Trainee and was after graduation posted in the Line Department (now Maersk Sealand).


In 1996 Søren Laungaard joined Shipowner Ib Kruse’s secretariat and later Shipowner Knud E. Stubkjær’s secretariat, where he was promoted to General Manager. From 1999 he worked with the purchase of Sea-Land in the Line Department (now Maersk Sealand) until 2000 when he was stationed with Maersk Sealand in Antwerp, Belgium, as Line Manager. After this he was transferred to London with responsibility for Europe Corporate Affairs before returning to Maersk Sealand in Copenhagen in 2002. Here he was promoted to Director, responsible for operations control and strategic planning of ports and land based activities. In 2003 he was appointed Senior Director.


Søren Laungaard has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Accounting and Business Finance and has participated in management courses, including one at IMD.
